Remove The Entire Window
Since it is an outright replacement that we are talking about here; you are duty bound to remove the entire window with the casing. Use the crowbar to effortlessly achieve this.
Adjust The Window Frame
You will be required to make some measurements that will conform to the new window you are introducing. Leave a quarter inch gap along the circumference of the frame because of further adjustments and insulation that may be necessary.
Install The New Window
Start from the exterior of the window and place the window in place. Make sure it is incorrect position alongside the frame. Use the level to ensure that it is fitting in correctly watching it from the outside. When you have achieved this, you can now use screws or nails to screw it into place.
Wrap The Window
When you have achieved the process of hanging the new window in place; the next in line of action is to wrap the window. The target is to completely cover the surface. So make sure you wrap it completely. Let the wrapping be very smooth if we are to prevent leakages that will harbor moisture. Keep the wrap straight and flush against the window frame.
Insulation
The gap between the casing and the window is now closed up by insulating it with the foam sealant with moderation. Cover the edges with painters tape to protect it. Once the foam is dry, it will be scraped off with a knife.
Replace Trim And Casing
When the foam is dry, adjust it by cutting off the excess and then install new interior casing. If need be, replace the exterior casing.
You are now done with the process.
